How to make a box mould long life running?

1.	Use the correct steel for mold base and mold main steel, and choose the high toughness for some part inserts. For example, if we need to make a 2 cavities box mould, then we need to make to use a prehardened steel with 32HRC for mold base. We have to choose the correct steel material for the durable mold components.
2.	Choose the correct harden treatment to core, cavtity, sliders and insert piece and make the steel hardness controlled, we cannot make the steel too hard usually. Sometimes, not the high hardness is good for the mold, since it is easy broken.
3.	The guide system and moving area of box mould must use precise machining process. Handmade working is not acceptable, or the guide system and moving area will be with problem on running.
4.	Hot runner system is very important for big crate and light crate. So we will make the mold flow analysis software for the hot runner system box moulds. In order to fill the plastic material in balance, we need a very special hot runner system, because if we need to molding a durable plastic crate, we should use low melt flow index HDPE, such like MFI=4 or even MFI=6……
5.	Reduce the cycle time to save the cost, we must make the cooling the best optimal effect, for durable plastic box mould, we should to use mold-max on the molding area with excellent cooling water channel design, for one-time use crate, we need to use tempering steel with excellent cooling system designed….
6.	If you have no injection machine at present, and plan to buy the new one, we suggest you to buy the high speed injection molding machine to run it, the screw RPM should be bigger then 350. Now, many of crate manufacturers use an accumulator to increase the melt and injection speed around the world.
7.	Of course, plastic box mould design is top important, it is better to use a mechanical system onto the box mould ejection, in this way, we can make the ejection action when the mold opening. Of course, if your machine can work with the 2 hydraulic acting in the same time, then you can do the ejection when the mold opening.
8.	For all kinds of mold, the high speed running is based on the mold is précise machining, the movement parts with accurate guided…otherwise, there is none possibility for a mold high speed performance.
9.	The handle parts on plastic crate, need to solve the air venting problem: this is an important issue, when the crate was loaded and the people carry the crate, the 2 handle area will be the biggest force focused. If on the mold, this area’s air venting is not perfect, there will be a very obviously jointing line. The damage are always come from this line.
